Studio Mini Sessions in Greater Boston
2025 Studio Mini Sessions
Studio Mini Sessions are 15 minute or 1 hour sessions for headshots, branding photos, or family portraits! The looks are based off of my work as a magazine photographer—I use the same backdrops and lighting that I use when photographing magazine covers and feature stories! The sessions are tailored around your needs—they can be booked for headshots, branding photos, movement (dance, fitness, style), maternity photos, children’s portraits or family portraits!
Diana is a Boston-based editorial and advertising photographer. She has photographed covers for The Boston Globe Magazine, Boston Magazine, North Shore Magazine, and she also photographs for numerous universities around the Boston area. She has photographed notable personalities such as Kim Kardashian, Usher, New Kids on the Block, One Direction, President Obama, President Clinton, Ed Sheeran, Julian Edelman, Jaylen Brown, Alicia Keys, Billy Corgan and more. You can find her full portfolio at dianalevine.com
One of my favorite parts of my Studio Sessions is getting to meet so many different people! Before each session, I like to ask about your goals for your photos—are we doing simple, professional headshots? Or are we jumping, twirling, and throwing confetti? When you book your session, be sure to include any specific requests!

I love helping find ways of expressing people’s personalities on camera. I spend a lot of time thinking about posing, and how to make posing easy and simple, even for someone who has never been part of a photo shoot before.
How does it work?

On-Site Photo Selections
After your session, you will be able to review your portraits on the computer and choose your final photos immediately after your session! On-site photo selections are ideal, because you can see your photos as we’re taking them—and you get the final photos faster than by waiting for proofs!
Pricing
15 minute session (1 backdrop color): $100 sitting fee. Photos ordered separately (10 for $225 or 25 for $400).
1 hour session (2 backdrop colors): $1500, which comes with 50 retouched photos.
*Pricing is valid for sessions booked in November 2025 only and may change after that time period.

What is the turnaround time?
Generally, the turnaround time from when you take your photos at the studio, to receiving your final, retouched gallery is 1 week after your place your order. It can sometimes be quicker, depending on my shoot schedule that week.
Should I sign up for 15 minutes or 1 hour?
15 minutes is great for anyone who needs headshots and marketing photos, wearing 1 or 2 outfits, on 1 backdrop color. However, if you’d like to do 3+ outfits, spend some more time on posing and props—and photograph on 2 different backdrop colors, a Full 1 Hour Session is perfect for you.
What are the backdrop color options?
Currently, I have these backdrop colors in stock: White, Grey, Black, Red, Hot Pink, Light Pink, Purple, Turquoise, Yellow, Beige, Navy Blue, Cream and Forest Green.
Can we book a Mini Session for 2 people at the same time?
Mini Sessions are booked 1 per person. However, if you sign up for 2 Mini Sessions in a row, I can photograph portraits of two people together! Or, book a Full 1 Hour session for more time.
Who are Editorial Mini Sessions for?
Editorial Mini Sessions are for anyone who wants a magazine-style portrait! They are great for anyone looking for branding portraits, marketing photos for their personal brand, and professionals of all kinds, including business owners, fitness instructors, stylists, entrepreneurs, realtors, attorneys, medical professionals, creatives, consultants, speakers, models, actors, and more. But, you don’t need a “reason” to join for a Mini Session—anyone can join for a beautiful editorial style portrait!
Do you help with posing?
One of the questions I am asked most frequently is “I’ve never done a photo shoot before—will you help me with posing” and the answer is: Yes! Before each session, we talk about what kind of posing you’re interested in, and then I help guide you through a variety of poses during your session. I also bring a “Posing Board” to use as a visual reference, so that you have a quick “Menu” of posing options to look at during your session.
Do you photograph senior portraits and yearbook photos?
Yes! I regularly photograph high school seniors from the Metrowest Boston area (Needham, Wellesley, Natick, Newton, Wayland, Sudbury, Medfield and beyond). When you sign up for your session, please email your school’s yearbook requirements in advance.
Do the Mini Sessions come with hair and make up?
No, the Editorial Mini Sessions do not come with hair and make up. However, I often refer clients to hair and make up artists. My recommendations:
Catherine Maloy, founder of Cocotree Kids, a 501(c)3 charity
Are the photos digital or prints?
The final photos that will be delivered to you are high-resolution digital images. I don’t do any printing.
Jackie Bowden, dancer, choreographer and director of Mini Movers Studio in Charlestown, MA
Where are the studios?
I work with several studio locations in the Metrowest Boston area. When you sign up for your Mini Session, I will share the location for the dates you’re interested in. I regularly have clients join from Needham, Newton, Wellesley, Brookline, Waltham, Dover, Natick, Wayland, Sudbury, Cambridge, Arlington, Somerville, Wakefield, Reading, Cohasset, Hingham, Hopkinton, Holliston, South Boston, West Roxbury, and more.
