This weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing branding portraits and headshots for Skin Studio in Natick Center and Superior Skincare and Electrolysis in Wellesley, MA!
Skin Studio’s estheticians specialize in acne and advanced age management. At Skin Studio, their mission is to ensure that you feel confident and empowered about your skin. Their dedicated estheticians perform personalized facial treatments and hair removal solutions, including Brazilian waxing and IPL. They are passionate about skincare and are committed to educating you on skincare practices, so you not only feel capable and beautiful but also well-informed and empowered in your skin care journey.
Award winning Superior Skin Care and Electrolysis studio is based in Wellesley, Massachusetts. They specialize in electrolysis, the only FDA aproved permanent hair removal solution. They also specialize in customized age management skin care treatments, including microneedling, chemical peels, and facial massage.
This was an especially fun photo shoot because Irina, the owner of Skin Studio loves the color purple! And I love a color theme! So I had a lot of fun with the creative direction for their portraits, adding in purple whenever I could!
The branding colors for Superior Skin Care and Electrolysis are blue tones, so for Svetlana’s portraits, I went with a range of blue tones for her backgrounds!

I love this portrait in particular because Irina and Lana are sisters, and I love capturing the connections between family members!
Another highlight of the day was photographing Adriana Kopinja! Adriana is a photographer as well, and it’s always fun to capture photographers, because she totally understood all the short-hand between Matt (my husband and set tech) and myself, and she is AMAZING at posing!
When I photograph marketing portraits, I like to give a wide variety of looks, so that the client has lots of photos to choose from when creating social media posts, marketing materials and adding portraits to their website.
All of the portraits from our photo shoot were photographed on the white background, and then I sampled the branding colors from their website to create the custom purple backgrounds that perfectly match their branding colors!

When I photograph branding portraits, I like to provide some options with blank space so that the client can easily add text to the portraits for social media posts. This is an example of a photo that has space above it for the client to add text.
